The Vice-Chancellor Professor DZ Moyo and Gwanda State University community would like to congratulate Dr Tumelo Mathe for attaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Geography. Dr Mathe graduated with his PHD in May 2022. He obtained a Master of Science Degree in Applied Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems in 2014. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Applied Remote Sensing and GIS in 2009 and with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Computer Science and Geographic Information Systems in 2008. All the degrees were obtained from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa.
He has a variety of certificates obtained during the course of his studies namely Cisco Certified Network Associate 1 (CCNA 1), Polarimetric Radar (SAR) Image Processing, Africa operational oceanography and Land Cover/Use mapping to mention a few. His passion has always been on geography-related subjects. Currently, Dr Mathe is the chairperson of the department of Geomatics and Surveying at Gwanda State University.
