Faculty of Engineering and the Environment
Faculty of Engineering and the Environment strive to offer sustainable mining engineering and metallurgical engineering technologies for value addition at undergraduate level. The Faculty is committed to provide well-qualified and accredited engineers who meet the clientele needs of the industry. The Faculty has a relatively young but very motivated and dedicated academic staff that provides a dynamic, outstanding hands-on learning. Currently the Faculty has two departments which offer
the following five year undergraduate programmes which satisfy the academic requirements of council of registered Professional Engineers. The programme structure is such that the students spend one academic year on industrial attachment to gain practical exposure.

Plans are underway to expand the programmes offered by the Faculty. The Faculty may offer post graduate studies in the above-mentioned areas provided there are adequately qualified members of academic staff in the relevant departments to supervise such studies.
